Pet-a-Tank questions

How do I get to the grown-up settings?

Press and hold the ⚙️ button for two seconds. If you've set a PIN, you'll be asked for it. This keeps settings away from little fingers.

I forgot my PIN.

On the PIN screen, tap "Forgot PIN?". After answering a grown-up maths question, you can choose a new PIN or turn it off. Your child's pets and tanks are kept.

Can I set a daily play-time limit?

Yes. In the grown-up settings, open Play time and choose a daily limit. When time is up, the pet gets sleepy and play winds down gently rather than stopping suddenly.

Can more than one child play on the same device?

Yes. In the grown-up settings, open Players & pets and add a player for each child. Each one has their own pets and tanks.

How do I keep my child's pets safe if we change devices?

In the grown-up settings, choose Backup to save a backup file, then restore it on the new device. Everything is stored on your device, so without a backup we can't recover it for you.

The voice isn't speaking.

Check the device isn't on silent and the volume is up. On iPhone and iPad, the game uses the device's built-in voices; you can add a better Australian English voice in Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices.

Does Pet-a-Tank need the internet?

No. Once it's installed it plays fully offline.

Does it have ads or in-app purchases?

No ads, ever, and no subscriptions. The game is free to try, and one optional purchase unlocks everything (all the pets, trips and tank things) for good, for every player on the device. It's in the grown-ups' settings, behind a long press and the optional PIN, so children never see anything to buy. Already bought it? Tap Restore purchases in the same place on a new device. See our privacy policy for exactly what the game does and doesn't do.
